Hello Cross Country Ski Athletes, Coaches, and Parents from across Saskatchewan!
We are spreading the word that Cross Country Saskatchewan's annual Fall Dryland Training Camp is set to take place Friday, September 23rd to Sunday, September 25th at the townsite of Waskesiu Lake in Prince Albert National Park.
Details about the camp and the full training schedule will be released shortly. At the moment we are simply trying to get an accurate picture of how many people will be attending the camp, including athletes, parents, and club/regional coaches. We are organizing group accommodation at the Waskesiu Lake Lodge (2-bedroom or 3-bedroom suites with kitchenettes). At the moment we have set aside room for 40 people at the accommodation and will sort them with a rooming list similar to what was done at the Snow Camp in Lake Louise last fall. At the moment the priority is given to keen athletes, supportive parents, and clubs coaches. There may not be enough room at the Lake Lodge to accommodate all family members (children too young to take part in the camp, more than one parent) Of course we'll try our best to accommodate as many people as possible. Camp attendees need not contact that Lake Lodge directly. Simply send an email to Andrew Brisbin at firstname.lastname@example.org to claim a spot at the training camp and a bed at the lodge.
We'd like to get an accurate number of camp attendees ASAP please, so that we may adjust the accommodation and possibly ask for more rooms of we overshoot our estimated number of 40 attendees. Some other useful information about the camp: the first planned training session would be a rollerski at 1pm on Friday for those able to get there by that time, the next session would be a strength session at 6.30pm. For those who have a long ways to travel or can't get away from school/work early this can be the first session.
Cost will be
Athletes - $175 – includes registration, lodging and fun run registration
Adults - $140 – includes lodging and fun run registration
Adults - $80 – lodging only
Once again an email containing the full details of the camp will be sent out in the not-too distant future.
