2023 Canada Winter Games Coaching Staff and Support Team
/Cross Country Saskatchewan is very pleased to announce our Canada Winter Games Head Coaches and Support Team in for Prince Edward Island 2023.
Male Coach - Robin Butler is a long-time Nordic coach in Saskatchewan, and currently Cross Country Saskatchewan's High Performance Coach. Robin is a life-long competitor having competed as an athlete at Canada Winter Games, Nationals and continues to be a Masters competitor.
Female Coach - Alison Meinert is no stranger to the Canada Winter Games having been the Female Coach at three previous Games so brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge. Alison is currently coaching with the Saskatoon Nordic Ski Club.
Para-Nordic Coach - Lauren Miranda is a former Saskatchewan athlete and up-and-coming Para-Nordic Coach who's experience as an athlete has taken her from the Saskatchewan Winter Games, to Ski Nationals and the Canada Winter Games. Lauren's recent experience working with Para-Nordic athletes is a great asset to Team Saskatchewan.
Team Manager - Geoff Meinert is currently coaching with the Saskatoon Nordic Ski Club and brings strong organizational skills and experience with him from a number of different sports, including cross-country skiing and speed skating.
Wax Tech - Andrew Brisbin's many years of waxing experience at high level events, such as multiple National Championships, Western Canadian Championships, Canada Cups and Canada Winter Games, combined with his knowledge of waxing products, technologies and testing protocols are a great asset.
We are excited to have such an experienced coaching and support team for the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island.
